# Social account markets

Launched on February 15, 2021, the "social account markets" experiment aimed to create a different listing for any user account on any social platform.&#x20;

### What we learned

* Since one person often has multiple social media accounts, "where to back a person" became confusing — If I want to back Elon Musk, should I buy his Twitter account listing or his Substack listing? Having different markets for each social platform added uncertainty and risk, without delivering enough in return.
