# 1-minute onboarding

*Explore Ideamarket on any device, but the best experience for participating happens on **Desktop, with the Metamask browser extension.** (If you don't have Metamask yet, get it* [*here*](https://metamask.io/)*. Setting up a wallet is easy and should take less than 5 minutes. Written tutorial* [*here.*](https://blog.wetrust.io/how-to-install-and-use-metamask-7210720ca047) *Video tutorial* [*here.*](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OJqaZRpRqXM)*)*

## Step 1

Visit [Chainlist.org](https://chainlist.org) and find "Arbitrum One."

Click "Connect Wallet" and sign the transaction.

Then click "Add to Metamask" and sign that transaction.

## Step 2

Use [hop.exchange](https://hop.exchange) to transfer ETH from Mainnet (or Polygon, Optimism, etc.) to Arbitrum. Transfers are inexpensive and near-instant.

## All set!

**What should I do first?**

1. [Set up your profile](https://ideamarket.io) with username, photo, and bio (please use something recognizable so people know it’s you). This won't cost any gas fees!
2. Connect Twitter (just a sign-in, no tweet needed)
3. Rate 5-10 posts that interest you.
4. Start making your own posts and sharing them with friends

Let us know on [Discord](https://ideamarket.io/discord) or [Twitter](https://twitter.com/ideamarket_io) if you get stuck at any point, and of course let us know what you think!

## Troubleshooting

If you see this screen...

...simply switch Metamask to "Arbitrum network":
